Our Path for the Year

Win people to Jesus. Teach people to be like Jesus. Love people for Jesus. This is how we plan to do it, one next step at a time.

Where it starts

Make disciples. Then do it again.

We did not invent our mission. We are saying what Jesus said, here in Willow Springs and Howell County. This year we will win people to Jesus, walk them through First Steps and then DiscipleFirst, and help them start groups of their own.

“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Eight weeks in the Gospels with a mentor. Pray, read, and write, one short day at a time.

A public way to say “I belong to Jesus.” Our next baptism Sunday is November 15, 2026.

A conversation with the pastor about what we believe and the promises we make to one another.

Twenty-one weeks in a small group of two to four: Walk with God, Reach Your World, Invest in a Few.

Invite a few people and walk them through the same path. Start with whoever says yes. Small is good.

First Steps shows you who Jesus is. DiscipleFirst trains you to walk with Him, reach your world, and invest in a few.

First Steps and DiscipleFirst run all year as people are ready. These seasons give all of us something to pray toward together.

Nov 2026 – Jan 2027

Gather and prepare the soil

  • November · Write the VisionWe put the plan in front of the church and each write down three names to pray for.
  • December · The Word Became FleshA Christmas gathering a first-time neighbor can understand, with the gospel at the center.
  • January · TablesHosting a neighbor for a meal. Making neighbors, not projects.
Jan – Apr 2027

Go deep

  • Launch and HandoffNew First Steps groups and the first DiscipleFirst groups begin.
  • Baptize and WalkA baptism Sunday, and every new believer gets a mentor the same week.
  • Cross and Empty TombEaster: we greet guests like family and serve in Jesus’ name.
May – Jul 2027

Go out

  • Serve Days and NeighborsServe days, neighborhood meals, and praying for our friends by name.
  • Children and SummerA simple, Scriptural kids week, so every child goes home knowing the gospel.
Aug – Oct 2027

Multiply and review

  • School Starts and MultiplyA community fellowship meal. New groups launch with support.
  • Review and Re-CommissionWe tell the stories, thank our volunteers, and commission new leaders.

Sundays at 9:30, Bible classes at 11:00, Community Groups at 5:00, and Wednesday night at 6:30. Gospel-clear preaching, prayer, and the Word, with one next step to take each week.
